Why choose Novawood?

Every piece of Novawood undergoes the Thermowood heat treatment process, which enhances the strength and durability of the wood. Wood is composed of 50% cellulose, 23% hemicellulose, 20% lignin, and 7% other organic compounds, known as extractives. The heat treatment process removes resin, other extractives, and hydroxyl (OH) groups embedded within the wood structure.
This process also reduces the wood's water absorption, resulting in increased resistance to decay while minimizing swelling and shrinkage. Another factor that contributes to the wood's enhanced durability is the crystallization of cellulose. Changes in hemicellulose increase durability as it breaks down into furfural acid and carboxylic acid. Additionally, the heat-induced reactions cause the lignin within the wood to darken its color.

  • If there is furniture on-site, we offer furniture relocation services during installation. However, the furniture must be movable, lightweight, and free from items that could be damaged or broken during the process.
